I love everything about BB's - the food, the atmosphere, the people, and the food (did I mention the food??). This place has been a staple in Ocean Springs for years, and continues to have the same great quality and taste as always. Despite being a small restaurant, it is open and well-lit, and only feels crowded when there's a line of people waiting to eat. It's worth that wait. Today I got the surf and turf (roast beef and fried shrimp) Poboy for the first time. I've always loved the plain roast beef and the shopper (fried shrimp with bacon and provolone) is my go-to choice. The combination was fantastic. I don't ever think to put gravy on fried shrimp, but I will from now on. I definitely saved some shrimp to eat with their remoulade sauce. Unlike a previous reviewer, I personally think the batter falling off a shrimp is a good thing - however it varies by batch which just tells you they do it all in-house. The shrimp are plump and juicy, unlike a lot of other places that give you tiny crispy nothings. I also love the "Who Dat" (chili, mustard, and onions) as well as any of the other fried seafood options. The burger is also great (it's a Poboy). I am obsessed with the crawfish bisque and order it every time it is available. Their other soups and gumbo are great as well. The wait can sometimes be long, but I take this as a way to sit and actually enjoy a meal and time with family and friends instead of rushing through and on to the next thing. Plus it reflects on the time put into each dish to make sure it is perfect. The owners are some of the nicest folks I have ever met, and are willing to give recommendations and address any issues someone might have. It's also great to peruse the many pictures of athletes (mostly Saints players - Mr. BB's favorite team) and Gulf seafood. Take the time to give this place a try and you won't be disappointed. It truly is my definition of a "local restaurant" for Ocean Springs and the Gulf Coast.

The cost is not worth it. I was charged $14 for a shrimp sandwich on a regular hamburger bun and a small box of fries. Why is a sandwich on a bun more or the same price as a regular poboy?! Maybe they should have disclosed the price when I requested this. I don't know any other sandwich joint that does this. It wasn't even cooked well. The coating was falling off the shrimp, the shrimp had NO seasoning, was mushy, and the fries tasted greasy like they were fried on old oil. No, they were fried in old oil. They were limp and over salted. My coworker had a poboy that was on a small brioche bun for $10. Overpriced. Overrated. Over-hyped.

Really lovely find on our road trip back from NC to TX. We had poboys, gumbo, catfish and bread pudding and everyone was happy! The decor is nice, owner and staff super friendly and sweet. The pine ceilings are gorgeous. My 11 yr old remarked it's not very big but it doesn't have to be big to be good! The homemade sauces are delicious! It was well worth the 3 miles off I-10!

Had lunch with friends who recommend we eat here . Had cup of crabmeat and corn bisque which was perfectly seasoned and some of the best ever. Then I had oyster poboy with bacon and provolone cheese . The bacon really added to the sandwich the homemade romalode sauce was great on sweet potato fries. The service was timely and friendly. Great experience !!!

This small mom and pop restaurant has been open as long as I can remember. They've always been known for some great poboys. They're always loaded with lotsa shrimp. The last few meals I've had there were outstanding. I had the shrimp poboys but ordered them as a wrap with bacon. It was delicious! I think it's called the Shopper, there's another one with a similar name but has oysters in place of shrimp. My guest had the roast beef poboy with tons of gravy, she loved it. I've heard the crab bisque is great too.

Quick review: Place was slammed, but the service was good considering the crowd. Food was generious and delicious!! I had the shopper po'boy, and it was perfection for this northern boy! Will absolutely recommend and come back next time I am passing through!

It's very easy to drive by this place without noticing it - from the outside there's nothing particularly striking about the place. The inside is unexpectedly small for a restaurant, but in a cozy this-is-an-authentic-mom-and-pop-type-place kind of way. The place certainly has its charm. The servers are very nice - almost too friendly in a way. (I don't recall the last time I had ever had my back slapped in a joking manner by a server, but it happened a few times here.) The menu has a good variety of things from soups and salads, side items, and of course, po boys. I thought the prices were a bit on the higher side, especially since everything comes a la carte and you have to order sides in addition to your po boy. But despite this, I do think this place has the best po boys in BIloxi, if not Mississippi. So for that I give it lots of credit. Definitely worth checking out if you want to sample the local flavor.

Great food! The Shrimp PoBoy and Oyster PoBoy are great! We try to eat heras often as we can when we come down...

I don't usually give 5 stars. But the service is great. Clean, friendly. You can really taste the freshness of the food and the love they put into it. Also the food is NOT expensive for the quality your getting. I had a cup of gumbo n the seafood combo Poboy. The days special was country fried steak. I would've like that also! Well deserved 5 stars

4 Stars for the Crawfish Bisque .... Wooooooooooooo. I wanted to lick the bowl .. The restaurant inside was nice, clean and very comfortable ... The service was great and the workers were very nice ... The Po Boy was basic, still good but I've had better in this area... I think the only thing was missing was a little seasoning. How about a homemade Mayo this would set this Po Boy off right ...

The food and service is always top notch. They have the best poboys on the coast. Try the shopper poboy (shrimp, provolone, and BACON). The bread is tasty and the shrimp are always so fresh. They have been open for 25 years, so they are doing it right. Always consistent. You won't be disappointed.

Good food. Pricey for po boys

Best shrimp PO-boys anywhere! We originally started coming here 24 years ago and loved it. We moved away and just returned for the first time in the last 11 years and it's only gotten better with age. The shrimp PO-boys are excellent, as is the crab & corn bisque. The place is clean and the staff pleasant. It's a great local place to eat fresh seafood from the Gulf Coast.

Yummy! Yummy! An absolute must if you are searching for the best Po-Boys in town. I absolutly recommend :)

Quaint little dining room with very hospitable wait staff. Had the fried crawfish tails Po Boy and it was awesome. My husband got the shrimp Po Boy with bacon and provolone and he said it was great!

This place is excellent! Looked up on Yelp on our way from texas to florida. Nice small and clean restaurant with a very homelike feel to it. The food is excellent. Ordered a crabmeat poboy and the bread was fresh and crisp on the outside. The crab and corn bisque tasted like a nice balance between the corn and crab. The breaded and fried shrimp was phenomenal! So sweet and succulent. At pieces of shrimp and big plates. You can totally split a meal. Really great place!

This is the cleanest dining room I think I've ever been in. There are photos of famous people all over the walls, and Saints memorabilia on display. The people here are friendly. I loved everything about my fried shrimp poboy except the ends of the bread., and that they don't offer a spicy shrimp option. I think I'm going to request they cut off the ends of the sandwich next time, or maybe I'll just do it myself - this is, of course, a personal preference. They only have one size (7 inch) poboy, which was a mild disappointment as I like to order larger and save half for later. The gumbo was decent, too.

This place was awesome. I was in Ocean Springs for 3 days and ate here twice. The food was really good. The roast beef was some of the best I've had. The sandwiches were hot, juicy and real tasty. The price was a little high, but it was worth it. My wife was very very satisfied with her shrimp po boy on day one and her fried oyster po boy on day two. My sandwiches were equally as good and left me wanting more (not hungry, just wanting to taste more of BB's awesomeness).

I have eaten here a few times and have not been disappointed! Really a nice spot for lunch.

Too bad I started eating vegetarian, as their shrimp poboys are so good, and the homemade soups, like crab and corn chowder, are delicious. Probably the best lunch place in Ocean Springs. Nice atmosphere, good service, fresh, well prepared food.

I was visiting and we stopped to try a PO BOY and I couldn't be happier. The place is so cute, the service is great, family owned and the sandwiches are delicious!!! We loved the soup as well and whenever we come in is area again we will be going back... I;ve tried the tomato soup and shrimp PO BOY and loved it. It was not cheap but it was all worth it!

Great po boy!! Fairly inexpensive and right on 90. Great service to go along with the wall of fame.

I've eaten here 3 times in last few years and this is my first review and it's about time. My wife and I got here recently on a Saturday about 11:45 and had we came 30 minutes later we would have to wait on a table. It got busy! We started off with fried crab claws and they were breaded perfectly and cook to perfection. She got the crawfish bisque and she ate the whole bowl. I got to sample and it too was awesome. I ordered the seafood PoBoy which includes fried shrimp, fried oysters and crabmeat and yes it too was awesome. I like the fact that its a la cart since I didn't was a side order of fries on this trip. I've had the sweet potato fries before and they too are awesome. Now the best part is by far their service. Everyone is so sweet and friendly. I just love BB's!

This is one of Mississippi's originals. It has been there for 20 years. Once you've been to BB's you will never want to go anywhere else for a "Poor Boy". It is a cozy, family run business. You are guaranteed to get the best service and food at this place. I took my whole family and we all loved it. We started off with Tomato Bisque then I had the Seafood Platter, My wife had the Shrimp Po Boy, and my daughter had the BLT. DELICIOUS!

Got a catfish po boy here right before they closed last Sat. and it was an excellent sandwich. Huge, good grilled bread, nicely fried fish, friendly people working there. Only complaint is that no side was served with it (altho I didn't need it) and not a fan of shredded lettuce. Kind of hard to notice zipping down that highway but worth a stop.
(4)Matt E.
I guess i am going against the grain on this one. I thought the prices were high and the food was just so-so. For what i spent on a poboy i should have got more. I will pass this one up next time.

Very good spot for a poboy on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Though I found it to be a little high price wise the sandwich was very good. I had the combo which has shrimp, oysters, and crab dressing on it (12.95) and it was more than I could eat. Also had the corn and crab bisque and it was very good. They also had a seafood muffelata which looked delicious. Some of the best sweet tea on the coast. This place is deffinately worth a try if you like poboys.

B.B.'s is a wonderful spot for lunch. The po boys were delicious. Nice folks, good service, clean restaurant. We're happy we stopped here.
(5)Heather S.
The way a po boy is supposed to be. Whenever I am on the coast, this is one of the first places I go to eat. The shrimp po boys and the crab po boys are really great. Perfect really. The soups and bisques are also really superb. Everything is fresh and flavorful and I couldn't ask for more than that.
(5)Ryan B.
Good service, cozy environment. Surprisingly good salad for the price, nothing special. Good food, I recommend it especially for the price. Don't expect too much from the rating. Its a cheap / good place to eat.
(4)Martin D.
The place was clean the waitress was nice but we were greeted rudely by the owner and served overpriced food then to top it off the owner was rude again when we paid and left i would not go again.

Talk about your killer po boy!! Great place, friendly staff. Their daily special soups are fantastic. My favorite is the crawfish bisque.
(5)Weslie P.
We have family in Ocean Springs and only vist once a year but this is my kids favorite place to eat. I just told my daughter that we landed in Gulfport at 2:00 pm in a few weeks and she said "just in time for B.B.'s. Food is incredible every time you go.
(5)Taylor B.
Took forever to get my food. All was worth it when time came to eat it. GREAT soup, and GREAT poboys.
(4)Erika N.
I stopped in to BB's for lunch with a co-worker and thoroughly enjoyed their red bean and rice gumbo, sweet potato fries and a warm brownie for dessert. The gumbo was very tasty, super filling and warmed me right up after the morning's outdoor photo shoot.
(4)Frankie B.
I am alllllllllllllllllllllllllll 'bout some BB's. If you go during lunch - prepare to wait, but there's a reason! It's freakin' delicious that's why! The po boys are excellent and you have the option of getting sweet potato fries along with - how can you not love that people? The corn and crawfish bisque - amazing. If passing through stop and order anything here - you could probably just hand them the menu back and say 'Yes' and still get something you would like.
